Winter Scientific Session Offers 3 CE Courses, Snowtime Fun

It’s back — the MDA’s 2026 Winter Scientific Session takes place Friday, Jan. 9 through Sunday, Jan. 11 at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville. It’s the perfect blend of family fun and the continuing education you need. Meet your colleagues for a few hours of study each day, then hit the slopes! Choose from a variety of ski packages and accommodations.

This year’s speaker for all courses is the well-known Sanjay Chand, MD. Courses include:

• “Pain Management for the Dental Professional” (Friday, Jan. 9, 7–10 p.m.; three CE credits.) This course counts toward the Michigan Board of Dentistry’s pain management requirement and the training requirement to obtain or renew the controlled substance pharmacy license for dentists.

• “Infection Prevention and Control in Dentistry” (Saturday, Jan. 10, 8–11 a.m., breakfast provided; three CE credits.) This course counts toward the Board of Dentistry’s infection control requirement.

• “Complexity of Drugs and the Dental Practice” (Sunday, Jan. 11, 7:30–10:30 a.m.; breakfast provided; three CE credits.)
