Dentists and other health care professionals are required by the state to report suspected child or elder abuse. As mandated reporters, you must file a report any time you suspect abuse — you are not required to make a determination on whether or not abuse is actually taking place, and you may remain anonymous. Reports are also not subject to penalty if the abuse is unsubstantiated.
As of Nov. 4, logging into the MDA site has changed with the launch of the new MDA database. Your previous password will no longer work for logging into the new MDA database. Follow these steps to reset your password and get logged in:
• Enter the email you previously used for logging in and follow the prompts.
• You’ll be asked to set your new password.
• Once you’re logged in, you can click My Profile in the top right corner to update your profile, renew membership, and more.
