About the speaker … Jodi Schafer is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and the owner of HRM Services, LLC. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and education from Kalamazoo College and over 20 years of experience in human resource management and more than 15 years in a consulting role. Schafer sits on several statewide committees focused on human resource policy and leadership development, and she is a regular contributor to various industry publications including the MDA Journal. Schafer is co-author of the MDA’s Staff Matters HR system, and she conducts speaking engagements on all aspects of human resources including employee relations, leadership skills, performance development, onboarding, recruitment, and retention.
