This course provides attendees with an in-depth look into what the United Nations calls “a modern form of slavery.”
Learning objectives:
- Identify types of human trafficking.
- Recognize venues through which human trafficking occurs.
- Learn the warning signs associated with human trafficking.
- Spot victims in a dental/health setting.
- Locate resources and develop a plan of action.

About the speaker … Elizabeth Gadioli has spent nearly 20 years working in the correctional system. Her experience has taken her from working within the Macomb County Jail, to supervising misdemeanor probationers in downtown Detroit, and now to managing a very busy probation department in northeastern Macomb County. She holds dual undergraduate degrees in psychology and social relations from Michigan State University. Her educational background and experiences in working with different populations has fueled her desire to promote education and opportunities for justice.
