This webinar will highlight requirements under the new administrative ruling that include CDC infection control guidelines, personal protective equipment requirements, and protocol for sterilization of handpieces.<\/p>\n<p>Learning objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Describe pertinent CDC Guidance documents to ensure safe dental care.<\/li>\n<li>Discuss the importance of handpiece sterilization after use.<\/li>\n<li>Understand PPE requirements for safe clinical care and for other tasks within the dental setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #b72028;\"><strong>This course counts towards Michigan\u2019s Infection Control requirement.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Co-sponsored by MDA Insurance and MDA Services.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Speaker \u2026<\/strong> Dr. Marie T. Fluent is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Her dental career spans 35 years and includes roles as an associate dentist and practice owner, infection control coordinator, office manager, and dental assistant. She has extensive experience and expertise as a dental infection control clinical instructor, educator, speaker, author, and consultant. Dr. Fluent is deeply committed to improving dental infection control and patient safety and has educated thousands of dental professionals and students nationally and internationally. She has also written numerous peer-reviewed articles on infection control in the dental setting, OSHA compliance, and responsible antibiotic prescribing.
