His work related to association law includes the drafting and review of new legislation and the preparation of Amicus Curiae Briefs for filing in Michigan\u2019s Supreme Court and Court of Appeals on a variety of topics affecting health care professionals practicing in Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Michael Maihofer is a former editor and president of the Michigan Dental Association, and a past chair of the MDA Committee on Peer Review\/Ethics. He represented the ADA 9th District (Michigan and Wisconsin) as a member of the American Dental Association Council on Communications and is a former president of the American Association of Dental Editors and Journalists. Dr. Maihofer is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a Fellow of the Michigan Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
